The building of the Stāmeriena manor began to take shape in the 19th century. In 1802, the Vecgulbene manor became the property of the Baron von Wolff family, from which in 1809, by separating part of the land, the Stāmeriena manor was established. The Baron von Wolff family has owned the Stāmeriena manor for more than a hundred years. The most luxurious buildings of the building - the original construction of the castle can be dated to the 1930s. According to experts, the Stāmeriena Palace is one of the most interesting buildings in the eclectic style in Latvian estates. Similar to many other castles in Latvia, in 1905 the Stāmeriena Castle was burned down. Soon after, restoration works began, which were completed in 1908.
